Pablo Rossi Rodino, Baritone – ARGENTINA / ITALY
IBLA GRAND PRIZE Outstanding Musician Argentine-Italian baritone, Pablo Rossi Rodino has developed a career as a lyrical singer, leading him to perform in four continents. Since the beginning he has worked thoroughly with chamber music, contemporary, oratorio, opera and zarzuela. He has performed the leading baritone roles in “Madama Butterfly”, “Il Barbiere di Siviglia”, “La Traviata”, “Carmen” and Walton’s “The Bear” in Spain, Italy and Argentina, as well as in the zarzuela “La Gallina Ciega” in Puerto Rico and the “Stabat Mater” by Dvorak in Valencia.

Among his recent activity are: “The King” in “The Cat in Boots” by Montsalvatge in Madrid and Alicante; “Smirnov” at the Spanish premiere of “The Bear” at the “Santander International Festival”, Rossini’s “Petite Messe Solennelle” at Valencia and “Giorgio Germont” in “La Traviata” at Logroño, all in Spain. Today, he regularly performs in concerts and his upcoming projects include “El Gato con Botas” in Bilbao. In his more than 30-year career, he has also played different primary and co-primary roles in opera and zarzuela: “L’elisir d’amore”, “Rigoletto”, “Falstaff”, “Salomé”, “Die Zauberflöte”, “Luisa Fernanda”, “Doña Francisquita”, “La rosa del azafrán”, “La del manojo de rosas”… He has performed on numerous international stages in Spain, Italy, France, Belgium, Greece, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Argentina, Dubai and Morocco. He has sung under the direction of Gianluca Martinenghi, Alberto Zedda, Miguel Roa, Oleg Caetani… Moreover, he was stage directed by Pierre Luigi Pizzi, Giancarlo Del Monaco, Jean Luis Grinda, Alberto Triola, Gustavo Tambascio, Elena Pimenta, Willy Landin and Carlos Fernández de Castro, among many others.

He began his music studies at the National University of Rosario, his hometown in Argentina, completing his artistic and musical training in different countries under the guidance of distinguished teachers. He was invited by Renata Scotto to participate in her Master Class in Ischia, Italy.
