Paolo Bruno, Piano – ITALY
IBLA GRAND PRIZE Outstanding Musician Paolo Bruno has received his training from the Conservatory of Music “F. Cilea” in Reggio Calabria graduating with the highest distinction and with honorable mention under the teaching of Maestro Luca Marra. He continued his studies attending piano postgraduate specialist courses run by Maestro Humberto Quagliata, Andrea Turini, Lucio D’Agata, Bruno Canino, Maurizio Innocenti, Aldo Ciccolini, Jean Marc Luisada, Roberto Cappello, Konstantin Bogino, Vladimir Ogarkov, Tami Kanazawa, Yuval Admony.

He participated in important festivals and music events such as the International Festival “Autunno Musicale Palazzolese” (Brescia), the Festival “Città di San Giovanni Valdarno” (Arezzo), the Festival “Armonie della Magna Grecia” (Vibo Valentia), the musical event “Sala Puccini” of the Conservatory of Music “G. Verdi” in Milan, the “Antonio Carlo Monzino” Foundation at the Panoramic Halls of Castello Sforzesco in Milan for the Expo 2015, the piano show “Piano City Milano” (2016 and 2017), the Auditorium “San Nicolò” in Chioggia (Venice), the concert season “La Grande Musica a Maso Spilzi” in Folgaria (TN).

He has performed solo recitals in Spain for the Sociedad Filarmonica Castellana (Aranda De Duero) as well as for the Musical Athenaeum Mirandes (Miranda De Ebro) and for the Musical Athenaeum De Burgos (Burgos) as well as with orchestras under the direction of Maestro Michele Manganelli, Pietro Billi e Pietro Perini, with a quartet of arches, in a four-handed piano duet with Maestro Luca Marra during the 20th Concert Season of the Conservatory of Music “F. Cilea” in Reggio Calabria, in the 13th Concert Season of the Conservatory “A. Pedrollo” in Vicenza, at the palace “Comunità di Fiemme” in Cavalese (Val di Fiemme).

Paolo has won many national and international piano contests: Ibla Grand Prize 2022 (Ragusa), 1st prize in the 2nd edition of the National Piano Contest “Guido Monaco, Città di Prato”, 1st prize in the 1st edition of the National Piano Contest Città di Milo (Catania), 1st unconditional prize in the 10th edition of the International Music Contest Internazionale “la Vallonea” in Tricase (Lecce), 1st prize in the 8th International Contest “Giovani Talenti” (“Young Talents”) in Voghera (Pavia), 2nd prize Città di Venetico (Messina).

Paolo currently is on the Piano Studies Faculty at MIUR – Ministry of Education, University and Research.
