2023 IBLA FOUNDATIONS WINNERS – BIOGRAPHIES

Adriano Leonardo Scapicchi, Piano – ITALY

IBLA GRAND PRIZE Winner Adriano Leonardo Scapicchi began his piano studies with Maestro Alessandro Galluzzo. He achieved a Master’s degree with honors and special mention at the Conservatory of Rome “Santa Cecilia”  and  a Master’s degree in philosophy at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. Currently, he studies with Maestro Massimo Spada at the International Music School “Avos Project”. He won several national and international competitions, including: XVIII national musical competition “G. Visconti ”;  I “Premio Accademia ” International Competition at the Roman Music Academy; International Music Competition For Youth “Dinu Lipatti” 2017 at the Romanian Academy in Rome; Ibla Grand Prize 2019 (“Scriabin Special Mention”).He has also attended masterclasses led by Beatrice Rana, Alessandro Deljavan, Alexander Romanovsky, Benedetto Lupo, Massimo Spada, Stephen Kovacevich, Alessio Bax, Alexander Gadjiev, Aleksandr Malofeev and many others. His interests also include chamber music and four hands repertoire . Since 2018, he has an established piano duo with Francesco Bravi  and in 2019 they performed Stravinsky’s original version for piano four-hands of The Rite of the Spring at Teatro Palladium, for Roma Tre Orchestra Young Artist Piano Solo Series.

He often performs for many musical institutions such as l’Istituzione Universitaria dei Concerti, Roma Tre Orchestra Young Artists Piano Solo Series, Villa Pennisi in musica, and many others.
